I started on this site as a recommendation from Penn Smith. I’ve used this cleanser 2x/day (2nd cleanse at night). Using this in the morning helps me asses my skin after rinsing and deciding on what routine to apply. I’ve used other cleansers with high amounts of glycerin but so far this is the only one that has proven to be gentler and less stripping; my skin however still feels a little tight after use so I’m working diligently on promoting barrier repair and hydration.

For best results, it’s especially important to apply the essence immediately after cleansing while your skin is still damp. This helps minimize pH disruption after washing and allows the skin to retain hydration more effectively.

I am on my third bottle of the Essence. Very hydrating and no irritation. I am almost finished with a third bottle of the serum. Great gentle exfoliating serum. I also use the cleanser several times a week. It works wells as a single cleanse for removing sunscreen and light makeup.

Bought this product off of a recommendation from the skincare creator Aliceintherabbithole on YouTube. I was a little reluctant because it was pretty pricey, and this was with buying it on sale ($50). However, it is still going strong 5 months later with daily use in the morning. I have dry skin, and bought this for it's brightening effects and skin barrier repair abilities provided by a truly unique blend of ingredients. As a sensitive skin individual, I don't buy any products with fragrance, so the use of synthetic fragrance (without greenwashing/fearmongering) lets me indulge without the skin irritation. It has a strong citrus scent and is a silky (not sticky) but thicker, consistency. I believe it has improved the look of my hyperpigmentation (caused by skin picking and post inflammatory acne) as well as provided a much needed hydration step in my skincare routine. Final review, it is a perfectly nice product with a fair price given the formula and brand itself. I would consider buying it again, but might try more affordable alternatives first.
